1. Introduction & Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Raum Pilates. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Raum Pilates website (raumpilates.com), booking services, and all in-studio programs and sessions. By accessing the website, creating an account, booking a class, or participating in any Raum Pilates service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the website or services. If you are agreeing on behalf of a minor, you represent that you have the legal authority to bind the minor to these Terms.

2. Services Description

Raum Pilates is a classical Pilates studio located in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, offering private 1:1 sessions, duet sessions, group pilates classes, and barre classes. Sessions are led by certified instructors using specialized equipment including reformers, cadillacs, mats, springs, and resistance systems. Raum Pilates does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Clients with health concerns should consult a physician before beginning or continuing any exercise program.

3. Account Registration & Responsibility

To book classes or access certain features, you may be required to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, please contact us immediately.

4. Booking & Cancellation Policy

Raum Pilates requires a minimum of 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a booking without charge. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before a scheduled session will be charged the full session fee. No-shows (failure to attend without notice) are also charged the full session fee.

In limited circumstances, exceptions may be granted at the discretion of the instructor or studio management. Exception requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed.

Late arrivals may be denied entry at the instructor's discretion to ensure the safety and experience of all participants.

5. Payments & Refunds

All purchases, including individual sessions, class packages, and memberships, are subject to the studio's posted terms, including any applicable expiration dates, usage limits, and cancellation policies. All sales are final except where required by New Jersey law or as expressly stated in Raum Pilates policies.

If subscription or auto-renewing memberships are offered, applicable terms will be disclosed at the time of purchase, including renewal frequency, pricing, and cancellation procedures.

Raum Pilates accepts payment via credit card, Venmo, Zelle, and cash.

6. Health & Safety

Pilates, fitness instruction, and related activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to muscle strain, sprains, falls, and equipment-related injuries. By participating in any class or session at Raum Pilates, you voluntarily assume all such risks, both known and unknown, to the fullest extent permitted by New Jersey law.

You are responsible for ensuring that you are in adequate physical condition to participate safely. Before your first session and on an ongoing basis, you must disclose any health conditions, injuries, pregnancy, or concerns to your instructor. If you experience pain or discomfort during a session, you should notify your instructor immediately.

Participants are expected to follow all equipment instructions and safety guidelines provided by their instructor. Improper use of equipment or failure to follow instructor guidance may increase the risk of injury.

7. Physical Contact & Adjustments

Instructors may provide hands-on guidance or physical adjustments for purposes of safety, proper alignment, and injury prevention. You may decline or request modification of any physical contact at any time, without explanation. Please communicate your preferences to your instructor before or during your session.

8. Studio Conduct

All participants are expected to follow studio policies, instructor directions, safety rules, and scheduling requirements. Raum Pilates reserves the right to deny, suspend, or terminate services for safety concerns, rule violations, inappropriate behavior, or nonpayment.

9. Privacy & Recording

The studio may use video surveillance for safety and security purposes. Any photographs, video recordings, or use of your likeness for marketing or promotional purposes will require your separate, explicit consent.

Raum Pilates does not sell or share your personal information with third parties. Personal data collected through your account, bookings, and communications is used solely for providing and improving studio services, unless you provide separate consent for other uses.

10. Communication Consent

By creating an account or providing your contact information, you consent to receive service-related communications from Raum Pilates, including booking confirmations, schedule changes, cancellation notices, and important studio announcements via email, SMS, or other messaging platforms. You may opt out of promotional communications at any time by contacting the studio. Opting out of promotional messages does not affect transactional communications related to your bookings and account.

11. Liability Limitation

To the fullest extent permitted by New Jersey law, Raum Pilates, its owners, employees, instructors, contractors, and agents shall not be liable for any injury, damage, or loss arising from your participation in any class, session, or activity, including claims arising from ordinary negligence. This limitation does not apply to conduct that cannot be waived under applicable law.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Raum Pilates and its owners, employees, instructors, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your participation, except to the extent caused by conduct that cannot be waived under applicable law.

12. Emergency Medical Authorization

In the event of a medical emergency where you are unable to provide consent, Raum Pilates is authorized to seek medical assistance on your behalf. You are responsible for any resulting medical costs.

13. Minors

Parents or legal guardians who register a minor for Raum Pilates services are agreeing to these Terms on the minor's behalf and assume full responsibility for their participation. The parent or guardian also agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Raum Pilates from any claims brought by or on behalf of the minor.

14. Intellectual Property

All content on the Raum Pilates website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Raum Pilates and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content without prior written consent from Raum Pilates.

15. Governing Law & Severability

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Raum Pilates regarding your use of the services and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.

16. Changes to Terms

Raum Pilates reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the website or services after any changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
